Perspective Gained From An Incurable Disease
Tim Pelman, a five-decade Metairie native, joined by his wife Cherie, tell the story of Tim’s incurable, Bulbar-onset ALS diagnosis . ALS has reversed their traditional family roles: Tim, once the primary breadwinner and shepherd of his family, has now become dependent on others. Cherie has proven love stands the test of time by stepping in to care for Tim and responsibilities he can no longer manage. A diagnosis of ALS can mean only 2-5 years left with loved ones. Few live beyond that. Join us for rare insight and wisdom from Tim and Cherie as they share the value of family, and, the value of a moment’s kindness even from stranger.
